Puff sleeves are quite the trend for this spring and summer. I’m seeing them everywhere on dresses, blouses, sweaters, loungewear and even swimwear. It seems to be an evolution out of the cottagecore and grand millennial aesthetics.
Personally, I find there’s something so fun about a puff sleeve. It’s girly, flirty and a little bit princess-y. Who doesn’t want to feel just a smidge more regal during a regular day? It’s one of those things that when you decide to wear it, you have to go for it with complete confidence. Hold your head high and own your fabulous sleeves!
Surprisingly, puff sleeves are much more flattering than you might expect. The width at your shoulders from the sleeves balances out your hips and beautifully emphasizes your waist (especially if there’s some smocking involved like on the dress I’m wearing). It’s a quick way to create more of an hourglass silhouette.
This paisley number is from Few Moda. I’ll have a review of Few Moda up on the blog in a few weeks, but I decided to buy a quarterly membership to try it out. So far I’ve been very impressed! The quality is beyond excellent for the dresses that I’ve tried.
This is a cotton smocked dress with dramatic puff sleeves. It’s lined and has the cutest bow details at the elbow. It’s super comfortable and was under $65. This is going to be a spring staple for me – I love easy dresses that look good and make me feel good when I wear them. Something I can throw on and not think too much about. I also love that the paisley pattern is more subdued because it’s not always my favorite print. But this one looks really pretty in blue and white.
I paired the dress with my Vejas that I wear with everything this time of year and the cutest Amazon wicker top handle bag. This is the one that I keep recommending to everyone, and that still stands. I think you should get it if you’re in the market for a summer bag because it’s perfect for the under $40 price tag.
I’m sharing more of my favorite puff sleeve dresses that are perfect for spring in the carousel below!
