Has anyone else had the busiest week ever? I’ve had so much on my plate lately, I feel like I’ve totally missed the arrival of summer. It’s like I blinked and suddenly it’s 75 degrees out and sunny every day. I am absolutely loving it, but I keep finding myself surprised when I step outside and it’s pleasantly warm lol.
Needless to say, I’ve been breaking out my favorite slide sandals for summer now that we finally seem to be in the clear for sunshine these next few months. Sandals season is my FAVORITE because it takes almost 0 effort to pick out and wear a shoe that’s going to look fab with your outfit.
Sandals – especially slide sandals – are so uncomplicated in the best way possible. Less is more is definitely the key here. You don’t need an ultra extravagant shoe to look elegant, stylish and chic during the summertime. Think timeless leathers and faux leathers in classic colors (tan, white, brown, neutral pink), a flat silhouette, and delicate features (like pearls, raffia or a touch of metallic and sparkle).
Your go-to, goes-with-everything sandal shouldn’t be over the top. It shouldn’t be the focus of the outfit, but rather, it should be the item that ties the look together. An understated finishing touch.
All of the sandals I am sharing here are under $75 because you really don’t need to break the bank to find a beautiful slide that you can wear all season long. Sandals aren’t really that substantial, and I find that you don’t get a whole lot of extra quality for the money when you spend more than $75-$100 on a pair. Some of my favorite sandals in my closet have been finds from Marshall’s, like these pearl Steve Madden slides that you are actually on DSW now, too.
I also absolutely love these Target slides for under $20. They’re so comfortable, and the crisp white looks clean and modern on the foot.
I think I am most excited about these pearl-embellished sandals that I found on DSW, as well. I don’t need another pearl sandal (see above), but these are tempting me for under $50.
