Do you ever put something on and just feel like it was made for you? That’s exactly what it was like trying on this Reformation midi dress for the first time. Instant heart eyes. Today I wanted to share more about this stunning sundress and other must have midi dresses for spring and summer.
I’ve spoken several times on my blog about how much I absolutely love Reformation linen dresses. Their other fabrics can be hit-or-miss on quality, but they consistently make the most beautiful linen pieces. I have several of their linen dresses in my wardrobe already. But when I saw this hydrangea-printed one online, I knew I needed to add another!
The Tagliatelle dress in Riviera is elegant perfection. The fabric is high-quality and not even a smidge see-through. The silhouette is so flattering on the body. It’s got pockets and a skirt that has the prettiest, most feminine shape to it. It has a 1950s feel to it but in a fresh and modern way.
And I also adore the detail of the bodice! It’s a hook-and-eye closure with eyelet embroidery around the neckline. I don’t have any dresses with this type of curved bust-line and think it looks darling. I didn’t show it, but there’s also smocking and a zipper at the back.
While the dress itself is fabulous, I think I may love the print even more. Hydrangeas are one of my favorite flowers. This dress has made the pattern sophisticated but not too stuffy. It would make a gorgeous occasion dress for a bridal shower, baby shower, or graduation party.
Or, you could dress it down for a lovely beach vacation. Pair it with some flat espadrille sandals and a slouchy woven tote to give it a more relaxed feel. The skirt of the dress is also so sweet on its own that you could style a sweater over the top to make it look like a two-piece outfit.
This is one of those dresses that I just feel amazing in. It feels like me 100%, or the way that you feel when you are coming home. That’s how your personal sense of style should be – something that feels like the truest representation of yourself.
