I can’t even lie, 95% of my pajamas are not Instagram or blog worthy. I feel like my comfy clothes have a very distinct, unglamorous life cycle. I’ll wear a sweatshirt or pair of sweatpants around the house until they become stained, slightly shrunken or are otherwise to a point where I’d feel embarrassed wearing them in front of humans. Then, they take their place in my pajama drawer.
Personally, super broken-in sweatshirts and sweatpants make the most comfortable pajamas ever, especially during the wintertime. But they definitely are not cute, and they don’t exactly make me feel my prettiest either. Sometimes I want to have a fun solo girls night watching movies, drinking a glass of wine and doing face masks, but none of my pajamas really fit that vibe.
Life is all about balance after all, and my PJ collection is in desperate need of it. I also think there’s just something so fab about having a matching set of pajamas. You instantly feel like your life is more put together when you put a pair on. I saw this satin ruffle pair on NastyGal for under $20 and thought they were the perfect fit for what I wanted.
These tick all the boxes for me – they’re adorable, inexpensive and are comfortable enough to actually sleep in. The color is stunning, and they look & feel very luxurious for the price. I will say, they are slightly staticky (it might just be the winter air), but some Static Guard cures that in an instant. I am wearing a size 8 here and am really pleased with the way they fit. Not too tight, not too loose.
NastyGal has so many other pretty colors in this set. I definitely want to pick up more soon (like this gorgeous green). I think they would make such a fantastic choice for a bridal party, sleepover or just a cozy gift to yourself. How fun would it be to recreate a slumber party from your childhood, and all your friends had matching PJ sets?
Another incredible cozy gift to yourself – these Ugg slippers. They truly feel like heaven on your feet, and I personally think they’re an essential finishing touch for any PJ look. They’re a little pricey for slippers, but it’s an investment that you’ll have for a decade, if not longer.
I’m including this NastyGal pair and some other favorites under $50 in the carousel below!
